It is amazing how she ran back to the ranch and with a couple of barks & a whimper,told Jim that Timmy had fallen into a mine shaft behind Dickson Mill--then, ran out to fetch the doctor (who wasn't in), grabbed the first aid kit and met Jim back at the old mine shaft and rescued Timmy!! Im just sayin...the smartest dog in the world!!

Mike Benton is a graphic artist,who grew up in Union Springs,Al. He currently resides in Troy, Alabama. An award winning graphic art recipient at Troyfest Art Festival who since childhood has been interested in many types of art. His paintings have been published on the covers of three historical fiction novels. He is a current member of the Bullock Art Guild and he is known for charcoal and pastel painting landscapes,portraits,animal art,folk art and still life renditions.
